FT Award for the CSB-System

CSB-System AG was the winner of the coveted Fleischerei Technik Award at IFFA 2016. The IT provider won over the jury in the “Automation” category with its industrial image processing system CSB-Vision that optimizes the use of pig carcasses. The outstanding feature of this solution is the full integration of an innovative image processing technology into the ERP system. One example for the new possibilities in computer-aided image processing is the CSB-Image Meater: with is automatic measurements performed in goods receiving, it determines the left and right sides of the pigs to ensure the correct loading of track storage systems and cutting robots. CSB-Vision Robotics visually classifies contiguous pig sides. The CSB-Eyedentifier performs an automatic visual inspection with constant measurement levels. CSB-Vision Quality detects muscle defects. These systems grade and sort raw materials fully automatically, in accordance with defined criteria for quality and efficient use. As a result, the materials supply to production is optimized while rejects are eliminated.
